Frequently Asked Questions

Does activated alumina lose drying capacity while cooling after recharging it?

It's not critical to seal the desiccant in a storage container while it's still hot. It won't absorb much moisture in such a short time. If you want to seal it while it's hot, you can place hot desiccant in a clean, never-used metal paint can and seal it. Empty ammo cans also work for this purpose, but since they're painted, ideally, you'd line the can with foil to prevent the desiccant from touching the paint.
