The Bondtech DDX Direct Drive eXtruder for Creality 3D printers is an upgrade kit that replaces the original bowden extruder with a direct drive extruder setup. It is a high-performance Dual Drive extruder based on the BMG Bondtech Mini Geared.

Multiple Hotends Compatibility
This model was created to be compatible with the original hotend of each Creality model. Users may also upgrade the hotend to Copperhead™ or Mosquito®. To upgrade the entire hotend, a specific adapter set will be required.

* On the Ender-5 Plus, the DDX fan shroud will collide with the right-hand rail if nothing is changed on the unit. To fix that problem, please 3D print and install the DDX Bed Rod Holder Set for the Ender-5 Plus here.
** To use the DDX on the CR-10S Pro V2 and the CR-10 Max, you will need to remove the BL Touch bracket on the printer and 3D print a BL Touch mount to use with the DDX. On the CR-10 Max, the z-height will be limited between 430 mm and 455 mm, instead of the original 470 mm. This is due to the higher position of the push-fit on this extruder which forces the bowden to bend at a lower level under the top bar. Use the Z (height) parameter in the Machine Settings of your slicer to reflect this lower limit. After selecting this lower value, make sure to test and adjust it as is necessary.
When upgrading an Ender-3 or CR-10, be aware firmware changes are almost impossible. In these models, the e-steps value has to be declared on the start g-code in the slicer. The DDX Adapter Set For Creality Ender / CR-10 requires your printer to have a 40x40x10mm Radial Fan.

The DDX was designed to allow space for the bed probe to be attached to the x-carriage. In models where there is no space to attach a bed probe like the BLtouch, to the X-carriage, a mount can printed and attached to the right-hand side of the DDX.

This Direct Drive eXtruder from Bondtech is a high performance, high reliability 1.75mm Dual Drive extruder for Creality 3D printers, based on Bondtech's very popular BMG. Bondtech’s unique Dual-Drive technology combined with either the factory hotend ,or for even better performance the industry leading hotends Copperhead™ or Mosquito® from Slice Engineering®, gives you a direct drive extruder with problems free material feeding and enables the use of a wider range of materials. The housing parts are printed with PA12 (polyamide) for maximum strength and precision using industrial grade SLS technology.

Bondtech DDX Direct Drive eXtruder for Creality is designed to give the user more options – different materials, higher flow, thinner layers, and/or wider nozzles – and helps the user achieve a higher print quality. The DDX is based on the BMG Bondtech Mini Geared extruder featuring Bondtech's unique Dual-Drive technology. The DDX housing design provides effective hotend cooling. With the 3:1 gearing ratio, high resolution prints with small nozzles or high flow prints with bigger nozzles can be achieved.
Easy To Setup
