- These studs are used to replace the 4 screws of the stepper motor for additional mounting points. Make sure not to use too much torque to tighten the studs as the stepper motor threads are delicate & made of aluminum. It is recommended to use finger force only.

* Temperature Limitations: Although our hotends are rated to 450°C - 500°C, Anycubic Kobra Printers are limited to 260°C by their firmware. Unfortunately, there is no workaround to this at this time.

*Although these guides talk about the Vyper printer, they also work for the Kobra Max/Plus printers. Also, in the videos, there is an option to install a bowden coupler to hold the other end of the PTFE tube where the previous stock extruder was.
- If you'd like to go this route, you can order those parts here and here. When ordering the metal push-fit connector, make sure to choose the 4 mm option.
- If you don't want to go this route, you can leave your stock extruder where it was and just remove the internal gears from the stepper motor so the filament runs straight through the extruder housing.
