Q: will this work with a prusa MK3+ current firmware?
A: You will have to modify the firmware by going to Prusa's Github page and change the temperature sensor to value for the RTD Pt1000. Then, you will have to reflash the firmware to your printer. Please follow Prusa's guide on their Github page for the proper steps.

Q: Why would one use the RTD1000 vs the 450C thermistor - is this because of the 3D printer firmware / board? basically some firmwares do not understand the RTD1000? therefore people have to get the 300C or 450 Thermistors?
A: The RTD Pt1000 is accurate for a larger temperature range. The High Temperature Thermistor is available for printers that are not compatible with Pt1000s while still providing a high-performing temperature sensor accurate at temperatures applicable to most 3D printing.
Q: Is the Sensor Compatible with a SKR Mini E3 V2.0 Board or do i need an amplifier board ?
A: Yes, the RTD Pt1000 is compatible with the SKR Mini E3 V2.0 Board without an amplifier.
